Review, oversee and assist with the financial reporting and accounting operations, including the monthly close of financial systems and recording of journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
Month- and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and variance analyses.
Manage and analyze A/R, including reconciling statements, analyzing aging receivables and follow up with brokers and/or customers via email or telephone on overdue AR balances.
Generate and manage statements and reports.
Monitor, reconcile, and report bank activity, including receipts, disbursements, etc.
Reconcile vendor accounts and accounts payable transactions. Instagram Remote Jobs
Conduct billing, payment, and reporting activities within specific deadlines.
Work across teams to provide accounting insight and support.
Document accounting procedures and policies.
Coordinate with operations department to identify and research open receivable items.
Advanced MS Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
Technical knowledge and experience with both US GAAP and statutory insurance accounting principles.
Other accounting and finance projects, as assigned.
Communicate with external auditors for year-end testing.
Answer inquiries received internally or externally from carriers, brokers, customers and vendors, assist with the accounting call line, accounting email inbox, and forward inquiries to the appropriate departments (as necessary). Instagram Remote Jobs

What We’re Looking For

Insurance Agency or MGA/MGU Accounting experience: 2 years
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Organized and strong time management skills.
