Guaitil

Guaitil is a small community located at the foot of hills, near the road connecting the cities of Santa Cruz and Nicoya, in Guanacaste province. It is the home of a major craft centers in the country, where work is being done in ceramic processes similar to those used by Chorotegas, an indigenous group that exercised dominion over territories between Nicaragua Lake and the Nicoya Peninsula.

Barra Honda National Park, Hiking & Caves

SUP tours are a great way to begin your Stand Up Paddle experience. You receive a half an hour of instruction with a professional, bilingual instructor on the beach before heading out on your tour. You will learn all of the basic tools needed to safely enjoy your tour. The tour is guided and also includes a light snack with a juice. Tours offered on the paddle board can be done in the ocean early morning or late afternoon for the sunset in Carrillo Beach or Playa Beach. Tours to Chora Island in Samara beach with a snorkel out at the island is a great way to see a bit more sea life.
