Crocodile Safari Bird Watching Palo Verde National Park

Samara Eco Adventures

Tour Description

Birds and Crocodiles sightseeing (feeding and mating)

Trip Itinerary

Palo Verde contains the largest concentration of wading birds in all Central America. Between September and March every year, more than 279 species of birds can be identified making the migratory trip to wade in the lagoons and surrounding areas. Several thousand of herons, storks, egrets, grebes, ibis and ducks all flock here to feed and mate and the crocodiles come to do the same.
Tectonic faulting has uplifted the area from the seabed and rains created underground waterways.
